Build Your Scuba Skills with a PADI Open Water Pool Session
Become a Certified Scuba Diver
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most recognized scuba certification and your passport to exploring the underwater world. Upon successful completion, you’ll earn a certification recognized worldwide, allowing you to dive with a buddy to a maximum depth of 60 feet (18 meters).
Whether you’ve always dreamed of diving coral reefs, exploring shipwrecks, or traveling the world, your adventure starts here.
Here’s what you can expect:
Course Overview:
Your certification is completed in three parts:
1
eLearning
Complete the PADI Open Water eLearning course at your own pace before arriving in Key West. This allows you to spend less time in a classroom and more time in the water.
Please note: PADI eLearning is purchased separately from your in-water training.
2
Confined Water Training
Your confined water skills are completed in the heated pool at our partner resort, Blue Flamingo Resort, under the direct supervision of one of our experienced PADI Instructors. You’ll learn and practice the fundamental scuba skills needed to become a safe and confident diver before entering the open ocean.
3
Open Water Training Dives
After mastering your pool skills, you’ll complete your required certification dives on the beautiful coral reefs of Key West. These dives allow you to apply everything you’ve learned in a real-world diving environment while exploring the only living coral barrier reef in the continental United States.
