Master the Essentials of Enriched Air Nitrox

The PADI Enriched Air Nitrox course consists of independent study and an instructor-led workshop. You can study using the interactive PADI E-Learning program, which includes all course materials and exams. This digital option is user-friendly, and allows you to complete reading at home, saving vacation time. The manual covers Nitrox, its uses, benefits, hazards, and accident prevention before proceeding to the workshop.
In your session with the instructor, you’ll review course material and clarify any questions. If you have a dive computer, bring it for guidance on setting it for nitrox dives and planning dives. You’ll also learn to plan nitrox dives without a computer, ensuring you’re prepared for any issues. Additionally, the workshop will cover selecting the best gas blend for your dive plan.

Finally, we will explore the use of gas analyzers, the process of analyzing gases, inspecting your tank for fill-station markings, marking your own tank, and completing a nitrox log. This segment is hands-on and will allow you to practice the various steps necessary each time you dive with Nitrox after completing the course.

Reef Conservation

Explore the Reef. Help Protect It.

Every dive is an opportunity to discover the beauty of the Florida Keys’ marine ecosystem and learn more about the importance of protecting it.

At Southpoint Divers, we believe that exploring the reef goes hand in hand with understanding its health. Depending on the dive and conditions, guests may have opportunities to learn about or participate in marine conservation and citizen-science initiatives that help monitor our underwater environment.

Bleach Watch Surveys

Coral reefs are living ecosystems that can be affected by changes in ocean conditions. Bleach Watch Surveys help monitor coral bleaching and provide valuable information about reef health.

Learn how divers and ocean enthusiasts can contribute to coral monitoring and support a better understanding of the changes affecting our reefs.

FISH Surveys

Healthy fish populations are an important part of a thriving reef. FISH Surveys help collect information about reef fish and the marine life that depends on these ecosystems.

Discover how observing and documenting marine life can contribute to conservation knowledge and support efforts to protect our reefs.
